Anthony Mancinelli, oldest barber in the world

Oldest Barber in the World

Anthony Mancinelli, 107 years old, is the oldest barber in the World. He lives and works in New York, but he is originally from Naples, Italy.

Born in 1911, he moved to the US in 1919 and started working when he was 11 years old. His father only earned 25 dollars per week, and had to sustain a family of 8. So young Anthony decided to help him out. During the day he delivered newspapers, in the evening he learnt how to cut hair.

At 107, he still works five days a week, lives alone and drives.

He is of course in the Guinnes World Record.

The secret to his longevity is the love for what he does, he says. And he has no plan to retire.
