Restaurant owners staged protests against coronavirus restrictions all over Italy.
Restaurateurs in the streets to protest, the Carabinieri remove their helmet in solidarity Moments of tension at the protest of restaurateurs in Piazza Montecitorio in Rome. A group of demonstrators first tried to force the access bars that delimit the perimeter allowed for the protest, to enter the area in front of Parliament. After a few minutes of tension and the deployment of carabinieri ( Italian Police) in riot gear, the situation temporarily returned to calm thanks to the initiative of the agents. The carabinieri in fact, as a sign of support to the demonstrators, took off their helmets, to the applause of those present.
