Italian journalist Selvaggia Lucarelli reported rumors about the so-called “Pandoro-Gate,” which has been confirmed, shaking Chiara Ferragni’s public image like a bolt from the blue once more. In December 2023, Codacons accused the influencer of aggravated fraud and misleading advertising linked to her branded Pandoro, which she sold during the 2022 holiday season in collaboration with Balocco, as well as campaigns for Easter 2021 and 2022.
These ventures allegedly netted Ferragni over one million euros, which, instead of being donated to charity as promoted, ended up in her pockets. While a trial seemed imminent, a new agreement now appears to be calming the troubled waters.

The new agreement between Codacons and Chiara Ferragni
The recently reached agreement between Codacons and Chiara Ferragni aims to end all mutual disputes and foster a more positive relationship between the two parties. Under the terms of this settlement, the influencer has agreed to donate 200 million euros to a charitable organization dedicated to supporting women who are victims of violence. This resolution aligns with the updates shared in October 2024, which suggested that compensating individual consumers directly was neither practical nor effective, given that 290,000 branded pandori were sold in collaboration with Balocco in 2022.
The press release explicitly states:
“The agreement reflects the shared will of both parties: on one hand, to resolve previous disputes, and on the other, to look positively toward the future by fostering a climate of collaboration and respect aimed at promoting concrete initiatives and constructive dialogue on social issues of mutual interest.”
As part of the settlement, Codacons appears willing to drop its charges against Ferragni, provided she not only fulfills the financial commitment but also participates in a national event tied to Codacons’ project Beyond Silence, aimed at supporting and assisting victims of gender-based violence.
We await further developments, but this agreement seems to chart a path forward that could finally free the influencer from the shadows of controversy that have haunted her in recent years.
