With the last declaration of the Italian Health Minister, Roberto Speranza signed a new ordinance of Friday making the regions of Friuli Venezia Giulia and Veneto orange zones.
Campania region that includes Naples now classified red zone as well as Basilicata and Molise.
Emilia-Romagna was supposed to become red zone, however Speranza classified it for now as orange zone. The in-region decision however is different from that coming from the government. Bologna and Modena are red zone since Thursday the 4th of March. From Monday the 8th Rimini, Ravenna and Forli-Cesena are becoming red zone as well. Parma and Piacenza are however remaining in orange zone, due to the low number of infections.
Lombardy becomes now a “reinforced orange zone” which is a new color in the Covid zones in Italy.
In red and orange areas, restaurants and bars are closed except for take-away and delivery. Schools and hairdressers will be closed. In the orange zones, shops remain open, but malls have to shut down during the weekend and public holidays.
Covid Zones in Italy
Red zone – Full lockdown
Dark orange zone – 95% lockdown
Orange zone – Partial lockdown
Yellow zone – everything is open until 6 pm and it’s allowed to leave your city or town.
